50th PARALLEL WINERY- BC:

Scheduled to break ground in fall of 2011, we are excited to work closely with Sahuri and Partners on this winery project in the Okanagan Valley. The site itself is 62 acres of scenic vineyard, the land slopes gently toward the lake providing some of the best views of Lake Okanagan you will find anywhere. The objective here was to marry three ideas and uses into one simple yet iconic concept and structure that adheres to the already present language of the land. First and foremost is a world class production facility as the business end of the building design. This incrementally releases itself into the tasting, banquet and function room with 20' ceilings and all glass facade to take full advantage of the lake and vineyard viewing. Finally an open space for functions spills out and leads to the retail component, a glass cube sheltered by the continuing cantilevered roof line.
